Notes
-
The term "Master List" refers to the establishment of a single master copy
which can then be assigned (shared) by the various dealerships which are
administered on the system. In all scenarios, each dealership maintains
the option to override or extend these master lists (like removing/inactivating
specific parts, models or categories that they do not sell, etc.). This
"Master List" concept provides for a single list to be shared and 'extended' to
all dealerships. This approach provides for a very efficient utilization
of catalog information. For instance, if you change the picture on a single
master part then all dealerships that reference that part, through its catalog,
will immediately get the updated part.
-
Trim and Transmission (and even models) may not be required for all types of
parts which can be maintained by this web application solution.
-
Options also exist for users of the system to update their profile (name, email
address, etc.) AS WELL AS updating of security password information. This
is available to all authorized users of the web application solution.
